Fraudulent Job Posting Policy

Last updated 28 September 2026

Spark Jobs Platform Inc. does not allow fraudulent job postings. A job posting is fraudulent if it is meant to deceive people for an improper purpose, for example a fake job used to collect personal information, steal identities, or get money from applicants.

How to report a posting

You don't need to be sure it's fraud to report it.

What we do with reports

  1. We review reports as quickly as we can, and we look first at ones that involve requests for money, requests for SIN or banking information, or users under 18.
  2. While we review, we may hide the posting.
  3. If we find the posting is fraudulent or breaks our Employer Terms, we remove it and may suspend or permanently ban the account and any related accounts.
  4. We may warn users who applied to or messaged the posting.
  5. Where appropriate, we report the fraud to the police or the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
  6. We keep a record of reports and the actions we take.

We update this policy as needed and will always post the latest version here. For tips on spotting scams, see Staying safe on Spark Jobs.
