Yes. The free tier is built to be genuinely useful on its own: job discovery, priority matches, AI job summaries, a display résumé, and daily Spark AI chat. You never have to pay to find and apply to work, and it is the same free tier whether you use the app or sign in at sparkjobs.ca/app in a browser.
No. Spark runs in full in your browser at sparkjobs.ca/app: the swipe feed, applications, community, messages, the résumé builder and your profile. Sign in there on a laptop, or download the app on iOS or Android and pick up the same account on your phone. Your plan is the same on both. The one thing you do in the app is start a subscription, because billing runs through the App Store and Google Play.
The Lifetime founder tier is only offered during the first 3 months after launch and at select Spark events. The free tier is not a promotion: the limits listed above are the standard ones, and they are not going to shrink later.

Those are counts from the live database, not projections, and they move every day. Spark is built around students and newcomers rather than any one city, so the feed ranks by fit and by how close the work is to you, wherever you are. As schools and co-op offices partner with us, the placement roles they post land in their students' feeds too.
A school, school board, college or co-op office contracts with Spark directly: Starter $199/mo, Campus $499/mo or District $999/mo. Every plan gives the school's verified students Spark Pro, free to them. Picking a school on your profile unlocks nothing. You're covered only once your school verifies you, with a join code it issues or its approval (school-email verification is coming soon), and verification lasts until Aug 31 each school year, then you verify again. It also ends if you leave, your school removes you, or the school's contract ends. Already paying for Spark Pro yourself? School coverage does not cancel that subscription, so cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account if you no longer need it. Campus adds posting directly to your students. A company partnership is Employer Pro for every named seat on your hiring team, where each seat is an employer account on Spark, on one contract and invoice with a custom price and term, plus dedicated support. Beyond Employer Pro it adds one thing: an optional shared applicant pipeline, so teammates who each opt in see and act on each other's applicants. Nobody's applicants are shared until they opt in, and anyone can stop sharing at any time. Partner posts are ranked and boosted by the same rules as everyone else's.
