1. What Spark Jobs is
Spark Jobs is a job board that connects students with work at every level: part-time and seasonal jobs, internships, co-ops, entry-level and on-campus roles, and local gigs. It also lets employers, schools and community posters publish opportunities. These terms cover the Spark Jobs app and this website.
2. Your account
You are responsible for your account and for what you post. Keep your login private. You must be legally allowed to work or hire in your region.
3. Acceptable use
- No fake, misleading, or discriminatory job posts.
- No harassment or abuse of other users.
- No scraping, spamming, or attempting to break the service.
4. Job content
Listings come from employers, school and job-board partners, community posters, and public job feeds. We work to filter out bad posts but cannot guarantee every listing; apply with common sense.
5. Local gigs
Spark Jobs is a venue that connects neighbours. It is not the employer of either side and not a party to the arrangement. Payment, taxes and insurance are between the poster and the helper, and both sides confirm a recorded legal check-off before posting or claiming.
6. Payments
Spark Pro, Employer Pro and Founders purchases are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms; manage or cancel in your store account. Institution partnerships are billed directly, outside the stores. Paid tiers unlock app features; they never guarantee employment.
7. Ending things
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is permanent. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
8. Liability
Spark Jobs is provided as-is. We are not a party to any employment relationship formed through the app. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.
