Spark Jobs support
Spark Jobs Platform Inc. · for the Spark Jobs app (iOS and Android) and the web app
Contact us: support@sparkjobs.ca
Write from the email address on your Spark Jobs account if you can, and tell us which device you use (iPhone, Android or web). A person reads every message. We aim to reply within 2 business days.
If someone is in danger
Call 911 first. Spark Jobs is not an emergency service. After you are safe, report the account or post in the app (see below) so we can act on it.
Stay safe
- Real employers never ask you to pay for a job, training, equipment or a background check.
- Keep your SIN, banking details and ID documents to yourself until you have a written job offer from an employer you have checked.
- Meet for interviews and gigs in public places, and tell someone where you are going.
More in our safety tips.
Report fraud, a fake job or an abusive user
- A job or gig post: open it and tap Report this job, then choose a reason.
- A person, a message or a conversation: open the chat, tap the other person's name, then Report. You can also Block them there; they can no longer message you.
- A community post or comment: tap the ⋯ menu on it, then Report or Block. This works on anonymous posts too: Spark blocks the author for you without showing you who they are.
- Can't use the app? Email support@sparkjobs.ca with the subject "Report" and a link or screenshot.
Every report reaches our moderation team. Read how we handle them in the fraud policy.
Your account and your data
- Download a copy of your data: Settings → Download my data.
- Delete your account: Settings → Delete account. It is permanent and immediate. Full steps, including what to do if you can't sign in, are on Delete your account.
- Privacy questions: our Privacy Officer answers at support@sparkjobs.ca (put "Privacy" in the subject). See the Privacy Policy.
Subscriptions and purchases
Spark Jobs Pro and employer plans bought in the app are billed and managed by Apple or Google, not by Spark Jobs.
- Cancel or change a plan on iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Spark Jobs.
- Cancel or change a plan on Android: Google Play → your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Spark Jobs.
- Restore a purchase on a new phone: open the upgrade screen in the app and tap Restore Purchases.
- Refunds: request them from Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google Play, which handle all in-app payments.
- Deleting your Spark Jobs account does not cancel a store subscription. Cancel it in the store first.
Common questions
I can't sign in or I didn't get the email to confirm my account.
Check your spam folder, then use Forgot your password? on the sign-in screen. If you signed up with Apple or Google, use that same button again. Still stuck? Email us from the address you signed up with.
Why can't I see jobs near me?
Spark uses your location only while you use the app, only if you allow it, and only to find jobs near you. You can type a city in the search filters instead. Location is never required.
An employer asked me to pay, cash a cheque, or buy gift cards.
That is a scam. Stop replying, report the posting and the person in the app, and block them. Never send money to get a job.
How do I post a job as an employer?
Create an employer account, add your company name, then use Post a job. Every post states its pay and answers Ontario's two job-posting questions (whether AI screens applicants, and whether the job is an existing vacancy). See the Employer Terms.
How do I change the app's language?
Spark speaks English, French, Spanish, Chinese, Arabic, Hindi, Punjabi and Tagalog. It starts in your phone's language; change it any time in Settings → Language.
